Editorial policy
How Henkelion writes its product pages and guides: where sizes, weights and prices come from, which public sources we read, and how we fix mistakes.
Where the facts come from
Every size and weight on a product page comes from the spec sheet of that product: the outside size and the pet size of each carrier, the volume of each litter box, the weight of each vest, cuff and dumbbell. Where two of our own figures disagree, we print neither until they agree.
Public sources
Our guides lean on public agencies, airlines and professional bodies on exercise, pet travel and cat care. Every source is opened and read before a sentence that cites it is written, and the guide links it. Product and shelf pages name the source in words and point to the guide that links it.
Ratings and photos
The star rating and the number of ratings on a product come from shoppers at our retail partner, as of our last update. The colors and weights of one product share one pool of ratings, and we count that pool once.
Product photos come from our own product photography.
