About Henkelion

Henkelion is a US brand of weights you wear or hold and of travel gear for cats and small dogs. We have been on the market since 2018.

What Henkelion is

Henkelion began in 2018 with a pair of adjustable ankle weights, and a soft-sided pet carrier followed a few weeks later. Eight years on, the range has grown to a weighted vest in six weights, a pair of silicone dumbbells, the carrier in two sizes and a stainless steel litter box. Together they carry 78,379 star ratings from shoppers, at 4.6 stars on average.

Two lines can look like an odd pair. They share one idea: each product carries a load, and the load decides its shape. A cuff holds weight against your ankle without sliding. A vest spreads it over your chest and back. A carrier holds a pet that shifts its weight every time you take a step.

Weights, one pound at a time

Our ankle cuffs come in 2, 3, 5 and 10 lb a side, and each pair carries ten removable bags, so the weight you start with is not the weight you are stuck with. The vest goes the other way: its weight is sewn into front and back pockets of iron pellets and metal rock, so it sits close and does not shift. You choose it once, from 4 to 20 lb.

The dumbbells are the small pair on the shelf, 3.3 lb each, a steel core in a soft silicone skin. They are there for the arm work that goes with leg lifts and walks.

Carriers built around the pet

The carrier is the product most people meet us through, with more ratings than everything else we make together. Its two sizes are drawn from the pet inside: the Medium, 17 x 11 x 11 in, holds a pet within 15 x 9 x 9 in and up to 15 lb and is designed for cabin travel. The Large, 20 x 13 x 13 in, holds a pet within 18 x 12 x 12 in and up to 25 lb, and is meant for the car and the vet.

Inside, a fleece mat sits on foam over a wood board, so the floor stays flat under a heavy cat. Mesh on four sides, lockable zippers at the top and side, a short leash for the harness and a strap that leaves your hands free do the rest.

The litter box came later, in 2024, for the other half of life with a cat: a stainless steel pan that does not soak up urine, inside high plastic walls that keep litter and spray in.

How we print sizes and weights

Every product page prints the outside size of each carrier and litter box, the size of pet each carrier is designed for, and the weight of every vest, cuff and dumbbell, with each color and its price from our last update. Where two of our own figures disagree, we leave both off until they agree.

Airline rules for pets in the cabin are set by each airline and change with the aircraft, so we never promise that a carrier will be accepted. We give you the size and point you to your airline.

Where to buy Henkelion

Every product on this site has a buy button that opens it at our retail partner, where you check out. Shipping, returns and payment happen there, and the price at checkout is the one you pay.

Everything we make is in the Henkelion line. Start with our pet carrier, our weighted vest or our ankle weights.

Questions

What people ask about us

What is Henkelion?

Henkelion is a US brand of fitness weights and pet travel gear: adjustable ankle weights, weighted vests, silicone dumbbells, a soft-sided pet carrier in two sizes and a stainless steel litter box.

How long has Henkelion been around?

Since 2018. Our first product was the adjustable ankle weight, and the soft-sided pet carrier followed the same autumn. The weighted vest came in 2019 and the stainless steel litter box in 2024.

Why does Henkelion make weights and pet carriers?

Both are things you carry through a day: weight on your body when you train, a pet on your shoulder on the way to the vet. Each product is built around the load it carries, with sizes and weights printed on its page.
